Reflections on Denver
Denver is seeing tremendous growth. There are tall cranes all over the city. Denver’s tallest building open not long ago. The thing these and many other Denver high=rise buildings have in common is glass. Most, if not all of the new high-rise construction in Denver is of buildings that will be mostly clad in glass.
This prompted a thought. These glass walls are highly reflective. They reflect Denver itself. Hence my “Reflections on Denver” project.
I’ve made these images with an extreme wide angle lens. Often, I have to tilt the camera in order to capture all I want in my image. I then use the perspective controls in my processing software to achieve the corrections I enjoyed years ago when making photos with my 8x10- and 5x7-inch view cameras.
As is easily seen while browsing my site, I have been a black and white photographer for most of my 45+ years as a photographer. These are color! And I find it exciting. I hope you do, too!
