Mount Bierstadt from Guanella Pass

Guanella Pass is a high mountain pass in the Rocky Mountains of central Colorado. The road is not maintained in the winter and typically closes after the first heavy winter snow. I made this panorama one late spring day on our first drive over the pass. At the summit of the pass, hiking trails lead east to Mount Bierstadt (14,060 ft.) on the right in this photo.
